About me

Hello! This is Mario Ciccarelli, aka Kartone.

I've been a computer enthusiast ever since I was a kid. Growing up in the amazing eighties, my first computer, like for so many others, was the one and only Commodore 64. That's where I first discovered the world of programming with BASIC. The first time I got a sprite to move across the screen, I had a powerful realization: this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

Then came the internet. Armed with my "super-fast" 9600 baud modem, I'll never forget hearing that unique dial-up sound connecting me to the world. After waiting a few minutes, I was finally online, exploring the L0pht Heavy Industries website. That was the moment everything clicked—from that day forward, I was completely hooked on information security.

This blog is where I'll be sharing a few things I've learned throughout my journey in InfoSec. I'm a big believer in open knowledge sharing, and this is my way of giving back to the community that taught me so much.

If you want to contact me, you know how on Twitter and LinkedIn.
