Hello! I’m Mario Ciccarelli, known online as Kartone. I’m a lifelong computer enthusiast who turned a childhood obsession into a career in information security.

How it started

My first machine was the legendary Commodore 64, and BASIC was my first language. The moment I made a sprite move across the screen, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life. Then a 9600-baud modem screeched me onto the early internet, where stumbling onto L0pht Heavy Industries sealed the deal. I’ve been hooked on infosec ever since.
